It is the best case, not the going rate: a 2-minute song costs the same $0.032, i.e. $0.016 per minute, four times more. $8 / 2,500 credits = $0.0032 per credit. 10 credits x $0.0032 = $0.032 for one generation. That one generation is what you pay to obtain one usable song (the second song comes with it), and at the declared maximum length of 8 minutes: $0.032 / 8 = $0.004 per minute of music.

The 8-minute figure is the declared ceiling, and per the project rule on maximum duration it is the one published. Second catch: the Pro plan caps downloads at 20 songs/month, so a song you can actually keep costs $8/20 = $0.40, or $0.05 per minute at 8 minutes — extra downloads can be purchased. Third catch: the help centre states that long songs and Max Mode consume additional credits, so an eight-minute generation is not guaranteed to cost the declared 10 credits - which makes $0.004 the floor of the floor, not the price.
